(Excerpt) Listening with Dumplings 2005 Sound installation HOWL! Festival, New York   The sounds of an East Village dumpling shop -- the pounding of the dough, casual conversations, the clatter, the sizzling of the grill -- were recorded and edited into a multi-channel soundtrack and played back in the restaurant. The work attempts to mingle sounds of the seen and the unseen- an experiment in aural displacement.
